Lake Superior Estuarium
Opening September 30th!
Join the Reserve for a public celebration and all-day grand opening on September 30 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the new Estuarium located at 14 Marina Drive in Superior. Coinciding with National Estuaries Day, the grand opening is free and open to the public, who are invited to explore the exhibits and learn more about Superior’s coastal environment.
A new destination for family fun is coming to Superior just in time for National Estuaries Day with the grand opening of the Lake Superior Estuarium on September 30. A new public exhibit hall operated by the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve, the Estuarium invites locals and tourists alike to learn about the St. Louis River Estuary and Lake Superior. Visitors will be able to explore the region’s natural and human history through interactive interpretive exhibits, short movies and games.
