Hello Friends of the Reserve,
We, your board of directors, want to extend our deep gratitude for your ongoing support of the Friends of the Reserve (FOLSR) and the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve! As we head into a beautiful fall here in the Northwoods we look forward to the transition from green to gold, red, and yellow. As a board, we are also working on some transitions that we believe will increase our ability to support the Reserve and stay in touch with all of you. One of those changes is a periodic newsletter for all Friends members to update you on happenings within the Friends, the Reserve, and upcoming events and opportunities. This first newsletter is chock-full of exciting updates about what we ' ve been doing over the last few months, what the staff at the Lake Superior Reserve have been up to, and some events to start looking forward to as members of the Friends of the Reserve. As members, we would love to hear from you about what kind of news you want to hear about, what ways you would like to be involved, and what we can do to help you connect to the estuary and the Lake Superior Reserve. Please feel free to email any time, and keep a lookout on your inbox for an involvement survey that will help us understand how you want to be involved.
