Supporting the Lake Superior Reserve
and its diverse communities
Since 2017.

The Lake Superior Reserve conducts research, monitoring and education to serve people and businesses relying on Lake Superior’s coast and estuaries. Reserve staff work with communities, counties and schools to tackle coastal challenges. The Reserve is located within the St. Louis River estuary in Superior, Wisc., and is funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the University of Wisconsin.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The Friends of the Lake Superior Reserve (FOLSR) board of directors has committed to taking concrete actions to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion—DEI—in our work.

We need your help. You may have life experiences and knowledge that could help us walk the path of creating inclusionary environmental efforts together. We want to hear from you. Please volunteer to help us assure future FOLSR events are diverse and inclusive, with equal access to all. This topic is bigger than any group or organization. Everyone has the right to connect, create meaning, learn about, and grow in this beautiful natural environment.
