Clough Island Buckthorn Pull

  • Munger Landing Clyde Avenue Duluth, MN (map)

Join the friends and Wisconsin DNR in exploring Clough Island and improving habitat for native flora and fauna! This volunteer opportunity includes canoeing out to the island in the morning, and helping to clear buckthorn throughout the day in between learning about the ecology and history of the island and taking a break for lunch.

We will meet at Munger Landing (Clyde Ave, Duluth, MN) at 9:30am before paddling over to Clough Island. Sign up on Eventbrite today to ensure yourself a spot and a canoe! In the case of weather, the backup date is Saturday, October 5, and those signed up will get a notice of any changes.

This volunteer opportunity requires strenuous physical activity including bending over, pulling, and lifting objects repeatedly. Please use your discretion in deciding whether this is right for you.
