Join the Beach Clean Up! Keep Lake Superior Beautiful!

The Friends of Lake Superior Reserve (FOLSR) needs your help to keep the shores of Lake Superior and our Reserve free of trash. Many hands make light work! Please join us on September 28 at 9 am at the Lake Superior Reserve’s Estuarium. Together, we can help keep the lakefront a clean and an inviting place to be.

What to expect

FOLSR is committed to making this trash cleanup COVID-19 safe and welcoming to all. Trash bags, gloves, data sheets, maps, hand sanitizer, masks and bathroom facilities will be available at the Estuarium. You, or you and your group, will be sent to part of the Reserve to retrieve trash while observing Wisconsin’s COVID-19 guidelines. Drop the trash back at the Estuarium by 2 pm or dispose of it at home. FOLSR will collect and review the records and photos of what sort of trash you are finding so that we can all better understand the sources and impacts of pollution. FOLSR will award prizes for the most unusual piece of trash retrieved and best volunteer-day photo.
