The Edible Estuary

Friends of Lake Superior Reserve Annual Meeting

February 15, 2022

6-7 pm CT

Virtual only

Zoom:  https://bit.ly/3B83lV6

Buffalo-style milkweed pods. Weed burgers. Honey cattail cookies. Learn how to find the ingredients for such wild cuisine when you tune into the Friends of the Lake Superior Reserve's Annual Meeting. It’s free and open to all. No membership required. The hour-long meeting will take place over Zoom on February 15 from 6-7pm Central.

The highlight of the evening is guest speaker, Karen Stephenson, of EdibleWildFood.com and Foraging Cookbook. Stephenson is an expert wild food educator, author and certified Master Naturalist (Lakehead University). She will be joining the meeting from her home north of Toronto, Canada. Stephenson is passionate about helping people integrate wild food into their diets, even when it means foraging for food in the depths of a Lake Superior winter.

Prior to introducing Stephenson, the Friends of the Lake Superior Reserve board is looking forward to sharing the organization's 2021 accomplishments and what people can do to help the Reserve in the coming months.

What can you eat in the St. Louis River Estuary? Join the Friends of Lake Superior Reserve on February 15 to find out!
