Spring Bird Walk

  • Superior, WI, 54874 United States (map)

Friends of the Lake Superior Reserve will hold our first Spring Bird Walk at Wisconsin Point. The walk will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 7:30am. We are pleased to have Jeff Davis join us to lead the walk. Jeff is the president of the Duluth Audubon Society. We are hoping to see spring migrating species, especially warblers. Anyone is welcome to join us. No experience is necessary.

We will meet at Lot 4 on Wisconsin Point. After introductions and a brief overview of the walk, we will explore the beach as well as forest habitats. If time permits, we may then take our personal vehicles to explore the Superior Entry area. The walk is planned to last about 2 hours.

Please dress for the weather and wear good shoes for walking in the woods and on the beach. A pair of binoculars will be helpful. We encourage all to take appropriate cautions related to COVID-19. If you have questions, please contact Mike Koutnik at contact.folsr@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you on June 1.
