Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Lake Superior Estuarium! We are holding an orientation session that will familiarize you with the Reserve’s wonderful little education space, and cover roles and responsibilities as an Estuarium docent.
Sign up on Eventbrite, and we'll send a reminder email the week before. If you meet anyone who would like to come with you, please bring them along! Signing up in advance is helpful though not required. Please come to our orientation if you THINK you might want to volunteer in the Estuarium, if you FOR SURE want to volunteer, if you have done this before, or if it's new to you.
Choose the orientation date and time that works best for you! We will have two orientation sessions - Thursday, May 30 at 10:00am or Saturday, June 1 at 9:30am. The orientation is 1.5 hours with the option to stay for an additional 30 minutes for continued conversation, questions, and refreshments.
Volunteer opportunities include helping with special events or signing up to cover summer open hours: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m (split into 2 shifts per day).
The Lake Superior Estuarium is hosted and run by the education program at the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve. You can contact the Education Coordinator, Luciana Ranelli, at luciana.ranelli@wisc.edu or 715-399-4085.
Thank you in advance for your interest and support!
