Keynote description:

An Estuary in the Balance

The story of the St. Louis River Estuary offers many lessons: about the biological richness and resilience of coastal ecosystems, about the purposes of human enterprise, and about our relationships with each other and with nature’s bounty. John Shepard will explore these ideas by sharing segments from recent and new public-television documentaries produced by Hamline University’s Center for Global Environmental Education, where he is a faculty member and Assistant Director.
