World Migratory Bird Day Events

Join FOLSR (and the birds) on May 14, 2022!

For 2022, we are expanding our Spring Bird Walk into a two-event celebration of World Migratory Bird Day. The events are FREE!

Wisconsin Point Guided Bird Walk, 7:30-9:30 am

Focus on sighting spring migrants in the varied habitat of Wisconsin Point. We are pleased to have Jeff Davis, Duluth Audubon President, leading this bird-sighting adventure. Jeff will be assisted by ornithologist (and founding FOLSR board member) Pat Collins.

We will explore the bay side of the Point, the beach, and then walk along the Point through the woods. Meet at Lot 4. FOLSR will have a limited supply of binoculars and spotting scopes with tripods for those who don't have their own.

We are happy to facilitate those who need mobility assistance. The walk is planned to last about 2 hours. Please dress for the weather and wear good shoes for walking in the woods and on the beach. A pair of binoculars will be helpful. We encourage all to take appropriate cautions related to COVID-19.

Register and find a map pinpointing the rendezvous site.
